My Doula career found me before I thought it was for me. Since high school(which was a decade ago now) I have loved caring for children! As soon as I headed off to college I was set on the path to nursing. Along the way, I felt the pull to pregnancy and birth. But nursing school was taking longer than expected. I started digging and heard about being a doula. At first, I really didn't understand the need for one but after educating myself I knew this job was for me. So I became a Doula to get back to caring for children and now mothers too and loved it so much that it I now am going to school to be a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM)! Along the way I have gotten married and had two natural births!
